“Hearty, cheerful, and ready for the day.”

The Story
Cheerful, brave, and a little too optimistic—exactly the energy you want before you step into the day (or onto a horse). This bold blend is made for outdoorsy mornings: boots on, plans set, and a grin that suggests everything will turn out fine. If your “shooting party” is actually just errands, don’t worry—Bingley would still insist you’ll do splendidly.

A Pemberley Moment: A scene inspired by the book

Bingley rides as though the road itself has become kinder.

The air is brisk and bright, the sort of weather that makes a man feel he could laugh aloud without anyone thinking it odd. His horse moves at an eager, willing pace—perhaps catching something of his rider’s mood—and every hoofbeat seems to say the same thing: Yes. Yes. Yes. Jane has accepted him. Mr. Bennet has given his blessing with that dry indulgence that feels, somehow, like the highest compliment. And though Bingley has been in high spirits before (he has a talent for it), he has never been in them like this—never with the certainty that his happiness is not merely hoped for, but secured.

He has a thousand thoughts and cannot keep them in order. Jane’s face when she said yes—so gentle, so steady, so entirely Jane. The way her eyes softened, as if she had been trying to be composed and failed at the very last moment. The moment after, when everything felt suddenly quiet, as though the world paused to make room for his joy. Even Mr. Bennet’s half-smile returns to him as he rides, and he finds himself grinning again, helplessly, at nothing in particular.

Tomorrow, there is shooting.

Mr. Bennet—who has surprised him in more ways than one—has invited him to join a small party the next day. It is the sort of invitation that means more than it appears to. It is inclusion. Approval. A quiet welcome into the family Bingley has wanted almost as much as he has wanted Jane. The idea of it thrills him—and also makes him just nervous enough to be endearing. He wants to do well. He wants to prove himself not merely a fortunate man, but a worthy one.

And on such occasions, when hitting the mark matters most, Bingley leans on a familiar vice with no shame at all: a good, bold cup of coffee.

There is comfort in a ritual that never changes even as everything else does. Early in the morning—before the house stirs, before anyone can tease him for being too cheerful—Bingley will pour himself his favorite blend: medium and dark together, hearty without being heavy, strong without being severe. A Cowboy Blend suits him in a way he would never explain. It has backbone, certainly, but it is also warm, friendly, and forgiving—like the best sort of companion on a cold day. It steadies his thoughts without dimming them, gives him energy without sharpening him into someone he is not.

He imagines it already: the cup warming his hands, the rich aroma rising with the promise of competence. The first sip landing like encouragement, not judgment. He can almost hear Darcy’s voice, measured and amused, reminding him that enthusiasm is not a flaw—but Bingley knows enthusiasm can benefit from a little fortification when one is about to stand beside Mr. Bennet with a gun in hand and the weight of new family expectations in the air.

Still, he is determined to do well. Not out of vanity—Bingley has very little of that—but out of affection. He wants to be the kind of husband Jane deserves: steady, cheerful, dependable, brave enough to follow through. If a bold, hearty brew helps him rise early, aim true, and meet the day with confidence, then he will accept the assistance gratefully. Some men rely on pride. Some rely on habit. Bingley relies on warmth, good will, and a cup that makes him feel capable of anything.

The path curves, and the countryside opens before him. He rides on, smiling as if he cannot help it, because he cannot. There will be letters to write, plans to make, and a future to begin—bright, certain, and astonishingly his. Tomorrow there will be shooting. Today there is joy.

And somewhere in the back of his mind, like a small promise waiting patiently to be kept, there is the thought of morning coffee: Bingley’s Shooting Blend, brewed strong enough for the field, smooth enough for the happiest heart, and perfectly suited to a man who intends—with great enthusiasm—to hit the mark in every way that matters.
