“Scandalously sweet, impossible to ignore.”
The Story
Some cups behave. This one absolutely does not. Lydia’s Campfire Flirtation is toasty s’mores sweetness—chocolate, marshmallow, and graham—made for laughter that carries, glances that linger, and plans formed far too quickly to be sensible. Sweet, dramatic, and entirely unconcerned with consequences.
Tasting Notes

A Pemberley Moment: A scene inspired by the book
There are evenings when the air itself seems determined to be amusing.
The day has gone on long enough to make everyone a little restless, and the household—whether at Longbourn or anywhere else containing Lydia Bennet—has reached that hour when propriety grows tired and the desire for entertainment suddenly becomes a moral necessity. Someone has suggested a little gathering outdoors, something “quite harmless,” which is always the opening line of a plan that will be neither quiet nor sensible.
Lydia, of course, is delighted.
She insists it is romantic. She insists it is fashionable. She insists—most persuasively—that it would be dreadfully dull to remain indoors when there are perfectly good stars above, and perfectly good people to charm below them. And once Lydia insists on something, the rest of the room tends to follow, if only from fatigue.
Out they go—shawls, laughter, and all.
There is a small fire (or something very like one), enough to throw warm light across faces and turn every ordinary remark into a performance. Lydia positions herself where the glow catches her best angle, because Lydia believes in strategy even when she calls it spontaneity. Kitty hovers nearby, half in awe, half in panic. Mary is present in body but not in spirit, already preparing to make the entire evening into an example of moral consequence. Mrs. Bennet is thrilled by the activity and anxious about the air; she cannot decide which emotion deserves to be louder.
And the flirting begins.
It is not subtle. Lydia has never cared for subtlety. Lydia likes her joy obvious, her attention immediate, her admiration spoken out loud. She laughs quickly. She speaks quickly. She moves through conversation like a spark—bright, loud, and entirely unconcerned with whether anything nearby might catch.
Someone offers her something sweet—something warm, something indulgent—and she accepts as if it is her right. The scent of chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted graham seems to follow her like a promise. It is cozy, yes, but it is also mischievous—comfort with a wink. Even the air feels playful, as if the night itself is encouraging nonsense.
That is the mood of this cup.
Lydia’s Campfire Flirtation is s’mores in coffee form: toasty sweetness, chocolate warmth, marshmallow softness, and that graham-cookie finish that makes you think you should have another sip even when you absolutely do not need it. It’s for nights when you want to feel young and reckless in the safest way possible—through a mug, rather than through your decisions.
Because here is the truth Lydia would never admit: consequences are terribly inconvenient. Delight is immediate. And while one may eventually grow wise (and most people do), there is still room in a well-lived life for a little sweetness that refuses to apologize for itself.
Brew this when you want your kitchen to feel like a campfire gathering—warm light, bold laughter, and the kind of flirtation that makes everyone watch even if they pretend they are not. Serve it to your most entertaining friend. Keep it for yourself if you are the entertaining friend.
Scandalously sweet, impossible to ignore—just like Lydia.
